After nearly 11 years of teaching and guiding 5200 Primary and Intermediate students on journeys through life, laughter, messy art, photography and film. The time has come to be more selfish and make something happen with my photography business and to give up a busy life of teaching – although selfish may not be the word I am after, as this is a career that I still intend to give my time, energy, passion, service and love of photography to others.
I am looking forward to spending time with my good friend photography- the passion I sacrificed and fought so hard for, even with a mortgage and more student debt. This is me … and this is who I want to be. I am pursuing photography as a dream, lifestyle and career choice that I have wanted for so long… and I can’t wait.
Although it is bittersweet, all good things come to an end, and this classroom door will now be closed. But better and brighter opportunities have come into my life and I am so blessed to have a husband that is cheering me on from the sideline and supporting my wild and wonderful ideas. He is so understanding and Dan I LOVE you for this!
I look forward to many amazing opportunities ahead after a few weeks left of teaching and our extended honeymoon around Europe.
Bring it on world!
